performed day guard on last friday, booked out at 1845. yesterday had a gathering with poly mates at orchard. went to SCAPE's PlayNation for board games; we played Taboo, ugly monster and UNO. the cost is 9.90/pax with free flow of drinks for 4hours. playing Taboo make me think back of my poly days where we used to play it frequently. after that went to Ayam Penyet Ria at lucky plaza. i ordered boneless chicken chunks with rice. the chicken is so crispy! the most important thing is the chilli and the spicy black sauce. it is just perfect. watched Underworld Awakening at Orchard Cine. A great storyline of continuity and gross fighting scenes; rating 4/5. be prepared for the next series of Underworld. after our movie went to Rhapsody Games at SCAPE for lan gaming. played 2 hours of L4D 2. it sure bring bring the old memories!
booking in later ....=( 4 more months...endure..what don't kill you will only make you stronger, good days won't last, bad days won't last either.

Tml is chinese new year eve. =) recently bought a fake monster beats from G market for $28. Sound quality suck to the max, rather use back my Philips earpiece which cost only $18. I listened to my friend's fake beats earpiece and his quality is much better than me. Mine have no bass at all. zzzzz.
Last monday my army camp got CNY celebration; there was LAO YU SHENG, games, SFI Buffet and mandarin oranges. Quite a good experience. Just completed a big parade last week too.
Yesterday went to TCM for my chest injury...hope it recover fast =)
Wanna buy iPhone 5 when it come out...and wanna buy a freaking new earpiece to replace my stupid lousy fake beats earpiece.
ok, looking forward to next week activities as im on off for whole of next week for CNY..shiok ar.

well it is the second day of 2012. happy new year. now i am feeling extremely sian because i need to book in later. left 5 months before a new start...it will be a very sian 5 months. why am i complaining so much about national service? actually NS is fun and exciting, because of some factors that caused it to be miserable. we cannot choose what we want, who we want or don't want to be with. just bear with it. this is the cruelty of life. this apply to working life too.
my korea trip was exciting!! -13 degrees, frozen rivers, skiing fun, beautiful scenery and great food.
on the last day of 2011 i went to LIVIA, my auntie's condo for housewarming. Went for a short swim at her condo too.
days before went to crown musicbox and sing with my friends..what a great experience.

I have not updated since March. Today is 1st May 2011. 1 year and 1 month more to ORD. Life have been fine in camp. I went swimming with a bunch of friends during nights out at choa chu kang stadium. The wave pool was shiok! It was a great session for us. We will continue to swim during nights out, provided it didn't rain.
Next Saturday will be my first time to vote in Singapore General Election. I am under Sembawang GRC; which have 2 parties (PAP and SDP).
On Friday night i went to Fullerton Hotel with NS mates for chocolate buffet. Each person is $38++. They have wide varieties of chocolate cakes, melted chocolate drinks of your choice, ice cream and flavored mini waffles. I feel uneasy after eating 3 slices of thick chocolate cake and the chilli chocolate melted drink. It was too chocolatey!! The 70% drak chocolate drink is very bitter, i cannot even finish a tiny cup of it. It was a good experience though, but will not go for a second time. Below are the pictures taken:

Okay, that was about it for the buffet. Yesterday i went to Jurong Point for movie 'THOR'. I give it 3.5/5 stars. The effects are amazing, the storyline is like a common marvel movie. However i just love to watch marvel heroes movies. After watching the movie i met my other frens at somerset 313 for dinner. We ate at'POCKET FULL OF POSIES' The chair is made of wooden swings, the ambiance is great for lovers and couples as the whole restaurant is decorated with bears and flowers. There is also a live singer singing for us. It is a bit gay for 3 guys eating in the restaurant LOL. We ordered Fire wings ($15), Chicken cutlet ($16), English Fish N Chips ($15), Calamari Rings ($7.80). The size of the chicken cutlet is like 2 hand palm placing side by side, damn huge!

Next; i am going to buy 2 books: 'THE KID' by Kevin Lewis (a true story) and 'WATER FOR ELEPHANTS'. I will do a book review after i finish reading it.

I will also watch two sad and touching story recommended by my friend; P.S I love you and A Walk To Remember. I will do a movie review after i finish watching.

Last Saturday went to Greenhouse Buffet at Ritz Carlton for dad's birthday. It was a seafood buffet. Weekend dinner is $78++/pax. It is worth the money. Choose from an impressive array of the freshest sashimi, sushi and maki sushi, as well as seafood on ice including chilled tiger prawns, mussels, crabs, scallops and live Canadian oysters.

They also serve up poached Boston lobster with porcini tarragon cream, pan fried dory with garbanzo beans, sundried tomatoes and roasted garlic aioli and sea bass with warm watermelon syrup, pine nuts and fennel salad.They also have oriental mud crab and fish maw soup, crispy deep fried garoupa with a spicy mango-lime sauce and perennial favorites, black pepper and chili crab. Yesterday went to Marche at 313 somerset with some close friends. I spent $40 on food during lunch. Below are the food we ordered.

Cohesion at Siloso Beach

Yesterday went for company cohesion at sentosa siloso beach. We had a great deal of fun under the blazing hot sun, bare footed and topless. The soft sand is comfortable to step on. We had beach soccer and frisbee. We also played a simple game. It goes like this: A runner run over to the island by crossing a bridge, a swimmer swim back from the island(i am the swimmer), the next person do 30 push ups and 40 crunches...and many more stations to complete the game. The last station is to bury a person under the sand and fill a cup with seawater with our mouth LOL. After that we took a group photo with two young and sexy girls to finish off our game hehe. Our team got 1st. We had canadian pizza and beers for lunch.
At night went to grandma house to pray tian kong. The usual dishes used for praying are meesua, red eggs, fish, duck, chicken, an abundance of fruits, rice wine and a big roasted pig. The ceremony end after midnight and i reached home at 2am.

it is feb 2011 already. life in NS will be busier for the next 2 months. We received our formation badge and black beret after a turnout and route march. Found gym and tennis buddies in NS, how great!! Today is battalion sports day and i won 1st runner up in tug-of-war with a medal. Our team nearly got first. however it is okay, we put in our 101%. My right armpit got bruises now =X. 2 more days to chinese new year, a year of metal rabbit. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR & GONG XI FA CAI! Today we got 'LAO YU SHENG' in camp, ba kwa and chinese new year tibits. There is lion dance too. There is a mini game conducted in camp; whereby participants will have to squeeze juice from mandarin oranges with their biceps and fill the cup with the juice. LOL..very creative!
Now i am hunting for 2 books: THINK AND GROW RICH BY NAPOLEON HILL & RICH DAD POOR DAD. the second book i can borrow from my bunk mate and will search for the 1st book asap.

ok, now it is 2011. chinese new year is coming soon =) hope this year will end fast. hope to get into either smu business or ntu maritime studies. hope this year will be a good year for all of us. i have finished my EAT, PRAY, LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert. The overall rating i'll give is 8.5/10. I liked the food, the spiritual and love story combined in one book. This year i started reading 2 books. 'CONFUCIUS FROM THE HEART' & 'THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI'. These 2 are soul and character enriching books. The Confucius book teaches us the right character to be qualified as a JUNZI. It teaches the moral value of humans and the correct way of living. I found it very useful and true. The next book; the monk who sold his ferrari is a book full of techniques to help you have a peace of mind and to reach your destiny and dreams. It is written by a renowned expert on personal development ROBIN SHARMA. Some sentences extracted from the book: 'Courage allow you to run your own life. Courage allows you to do whatever you want to do because you know that it is right.''Fears are nothing more than imaginary gremlins that have crept into your mind. Everytime they prevented you from taking some action, you have added fuel to their fire. But when you conquer your fear you conquer your life'.
For 2011, i am can can grow as a person, stop my bad habit of ''saying but in the end did nothing''. 'The JUNZI act first and later speak about his actions' - Confucius. And to be more firm and steadfast in my sayings. 'Without steadfastness he do not command respect' - Confucius.

we cried and struggled during the delivery of ourselves, the day when we are born from our mother's womb. We suffered more during our process of growing up, going to school, get scolding from our parents and teachers from misbehaving, peer pressures, exams and sickness. We suffered from various emotions; jealousy, anger, disappointments. However these sufferings are normal to those more fortunate people. For those less fortunate they gone through child abuse when they are young, hunger, they have to work at a very young age to support for the family, some died during their childhood because of starvation, natural disasters, illness and accidents.
Now lets go back to the more fortunate ones, when they finished their studies they go to the workforce. They work for more than 25 years, which was a hard 25 years. Now they have their riches and properties. Then those unfortunate ones, illness came to them. They die in 5years time. They go through physical and mental torture. They take away nothing except their good and bad deeds done in this live. Since they take away nothing when they die, why do they live in the first place? They fought so hard for all those riches and die and took away not a single cent and property.
[In religious context] After they die they either go to heaven or hell. Their good & bad deeds are reviewed. Then they are reborn again to this universe of suffering. AGAIN and AGAIN life is a cycle die and born and again. The only way we can improve this life cycle is to help other people who need our help, make their lives better and eventually sufferings will reduce. We ourselves must be virtuous and compassionate, in order to reduce sufferings in this universe.

just now went to sim lim square with family as my brother is repairing his mac book. While the laptop was being repaired we shopped around sim lim square and bought refillable printer ink. The quality was good and was very cheap as compared to original ink. Went to Si Ma Lu's OG. There are discounts everywhere in OG. My parents bought me a wallet for my birthday. We also went to Guan Yin temple. After collecting my brother's laptop which took 2hrs to be repaired, we went to somerset 313 for early dinner as my brother is going for guitar lesson at causeway point at 6.15pm. We ate a pizza bought from an Italian restaurant at 313. It cost $19 for a seafood pizza. The crust was very thin, like roti prata. The ingredients was very little. Although it taste nice but a bit EX. We also went to Food Republic on the top level and ate Big Prawn Noodle($12), Laksa($5) and Korean pork set. The prawn noodle has 2 big prawns. $12 is till a bit EX. Thats all for now.

secondary school recall

2 days left in signal institute. i will not be going to 3 signal battalion. it is still unclear of where i am going.

MY SECONDARY SCHOOL DAYS:

Secondary 1:
My mum bought me to school on the first day. I am terribly anxious. A lot of new students are sitting accordingly at their respective classes at the parade square. My class is 1E3 however i went to the wrong class. i went to 1E2. I do not know i am in the wrong class until a student at 1E2 asked me which class i am. =.=
My secondary 1 life was rather normal. As i was a shy and quiet guy last time, i didnt have much friends then. That was once where my mum force me to join a certain sports CCA and she talked to the CCA-in-charge to get me to join. I did go for a few training lessons but after that i stopped going because it isn't my interest. Den the CCA-in-charge come and Kau Pei (scold) me. That CCA-in-charge fucked up. zzz.
I failed my english during end of year exams and demoted to normal stream. =.=

Secondary 2:
I was in normal stream at secondary 2. There was this guy called Ching(not his real name). I was afraid of him. He was outspoken and keep bully me. He would punch hard in my arms anytime he like and i dun dare to retaliate. He would take my bag and throw it to the end of the classroom and asked me to pick it up myself. zzzz that time i was too innocent and shy. I couldn't do anything to defend myself. I did think of ways to disturb him and all sort of weird ideas came into my mind; putting soil into his bag, write bad things about him in a teenage magazine and putting his real name, put worms in his bags and all those. LOL. But in the end i didn't do anything.
There was another guy named Javin(not his real name). He is a very FUCKED UP PERSON EVER. UNTIL NOW I CAN STILL REMEMBER HIS FUCKED UP FACE. I STILL CANNOT FORGIVE THIS FUCKER which cause much distress to me in my secondary school life. In secondary 2 there was a time he asked me to lend him my handphone. I let him use and before break time i asked to return me and he said after break time den return. I said OK. That was the last time i saw my handphone. After break time i asked for my phone and he said he 'LOST' it. My suspicion rose. he lost it? oh really. fuck him. how to lost a phone when he was at the canteen all the time during break? even it really is lost, and i went to the office to check for lost items. My handphone was not there. Maybe someone else too it? I dun think so. Javin's expression is a bit weird when he say he lost my phone. He never say sorry or anything. he just said i lost it. I CAN CONFIRM 100% HE KEPT MY PHONE. Later that day i lied to my mum that i dropped my phone somewhere on my way back home because i was afraid that my mum go to my school and scold Javin. It would cause a big commotion i dun want that. BUT I REGRET FOR LYING TO MY MUM. T.T
There was this teacher Ms Jane(not her real name) she was my maths and literature teacher. This teacher i cannot forget her because she is a good teacher whom teaches me maths from secondary 2 to 5.

Secondary 3:
Secondary 3 was a better year for me. My science and maths improved a lot and i started to work hard. I started to like school. HAHA. That is the time i get to know my good bunch of buddies, which i goes out with them everyweek now. I joined the green activists club which is manned by Ms Jane. This year Javin didn't do any stupid things to me.

Secondary 4:
This is the year i go for my major exam (N levels). That Javin gave me problems again. He took my spectacles one day during end of lesson for the day. He didn't return me. I was fucking distress and dunno wat to do (i am too stupid and foolish not to tell the teacher). Later i walked out of the school gate and walked like 900metres away from the school and he msg me say he put my spec in the classroom. I walked back to the school and find. It was not there. I was very angry at that time and i SMS him: 'Hey fuck you, you black hearted soul where is my spec??!!' He didn't reply me. I suck thumb and went home without my spec. 2 hours later he msg me back say he wanted to give back my spec and meet him at Vista Point. I went there and i saw him holding my spec. He wouldn't give back my spec until i buy him a chocolate bar. I suck thumb and buy for him and i got my spec back. Thinking of it i think i am the world's most DUMB + FOOLISH + IDIOT person.
My green activists club had a camp at sentosa underwater world. We slept at the underwater world. It was a fantastic experience that i can not forget. We had a rainy amazaing race around sentosa. It was just awesome!

Secondary 5:
This was my graduating year which is a stressful and dramatic year for me. I became part of class committee as secretary(although i always do nth as a secretary). And Ms Jane always treat the class committee meals, especially pizza hut. I was fortunate though. haha. I took my O levels this year. That Javin do a very stupid thing to me again. One day he asked if he could come to my house and use my internet for some research because his house dun have internet. I said OK. He explored my house he said wow what a big house. When he was using my computer i heard a handphone off tone. That sounds familiar. After the tone sound off he said he want to use the toilet for a while. I suspect nothing at the point of time. Then he continue to research until 7pm. My mum was nice she bought dinner for him and we ate together. When he went home i found something is not right. My MP3 and my brother's handphone is lost. I told my mum. Before he came the phone and mp3 is still there. Javin has no brain at all. my mum called Javin and scolded him the that night. He still deny and defended himself. My mum called her the next day and finally he admitted that he stole it. He said he would return my mp3 but he already sold the phone. My parents was kind enough not to call the police and inform his parents. My parents forgave him. I got back my mp3.
A month later a singtel bill came stating my brother's handphone number. The bill was $400. Javin used it. He did not sell the phone. Before my dad cancel the line he already used the phone. My dad was boiling but still forgave him and did not make him pay back the sum.
This year there was another green activist camp in the school. My friend's MP3 lost during the camp. Javin as there too. Ms Jane demanded the person who stole the MP3 to own up. As i was part of the committee, we have committee meeting. Ms Jane asked us who do we suspect. I voted for Javin. I support my answer by telling Ms Jane about the incident that happen in my house earlier this year. Ms Jane and the committee members was shocked. In the end Ms Jane forced Javin to return my dad the $400 if not Ms Jane would report to the principal. He agreed without any choice. Javin also admitted that he stole my friend MP3 during the camp. Javin made an apology speech in front of the WHOLE class about my incident and the camp incident. Whole class was shocked and soon he was isolated by everyone. Heaven did helped me this time. Namo Amitabha. My dad got receive his money, around $300. My parents was very kind not to pursue the matter. It as later found out that Javin gave my brother's phone to his mother to use. He was very caring towards his mother and i think he is very filial.
GOSH! what a dramatic secondary 5 for me. That is all for my secondary days.
This morning mum made honey milk plus oat drink and butter cheese marie biscuits accompanied by 2 eggs for me. How fortunate am i.
Later going to vivo to celebrate fren bday.

7 days left in Signal Institute. I learnt a lot of things in my 1 day exercise, however i still do not know quite a number of things in the signal vehicle. It rained during the night of exercise and my underwear was soaking wet when i climb onto the vehicle. It was quite dangerous too. Next week got lots of tests and a 16km route march and we will receive our signaler's insignia.
Just now went to ION to buy something for someone(cannot reveal who at this moment). After that went to Woodlands library to read 'Confucius- from the heart by YU DAN'. I managed to finish reading chapter 1 and intend to borrow it other time. It teaches life lessons which are useful. Chapter 1 is the way of heaven and earth. Talking about nature, faith and forbearance. 'Trust is vital for a nation to survive'- extracted from that book. Lots of people are blinded by material possessions, reputation and fame. One cannot help being arrogant once they have those. Confucius teaches us to have a contented mind, remain courteous and humble when we have those. While those who are poor do not beg for things. 'Happiness' do not belong to those who are rich. 'Do not do things to other people where you yourself dun desire.' That is the key points of chapter 1 of that book.
TML going to Vienna Buffet @ United Square for mum's birthday, but cake cutting will be later, tonight.

2 weeks left in Signal Institute. Next week there will be setting up drills of the detachments and a 1 day exercise in camp. I foresee horrible months ahead of me...those terrifying days come again. Going thru harsh treatments once again for the next 4 months. That is where i will learn the most..gain most knowledge.
Recently i am reading eat pray love; a woman's search for pleasure, spiritual devotion and love. It is a true story about the author herself here she travel to 3 countries in 1 year to search for balance between what she want. A very personal book which depict the author's every thought. The author (Elizabeth Gilbert) is a divorced woman after 8 years marriage. She refused to reveal the reason of her divorce, mainly to protect the reputation of her husband. I am not saying that the cause of the divorce is mainly her husband's fault; because she gave hints in her book part of the divorce is also because of herself. This story have made it to the big screens(that is how i get to know this book). I have not finish reading the book and will post once i finish it.

Signal Institute

I have been in Signal Institute for 2weeks. Life here is a lot slacker than in tekong. I cannot adapt to such slackness cos Orion coy in tekong is a tough and siong company. Learnt quite a lot of things. need to study a lot. exam and one outfield next week. sianz. stressed. i need to treasure my time in Signal Institute(S.I) because i will be posted to a super siong place after my 8weeks in S.I. My next posting is 3 Signal Battalion(3SIG), a very 'up' and active unit which have best combat support service award and this is the only unit that need to do SOC. sian liao. I need to go thru their 3 months Unit Induction Program which is like living in hell. After that i will go to driving course at Sembawang camp; and my slack life begin once again. after the driving course will go back to 3 Signal Battalion to finish my NS service. I will have chance to Taiwan and Australia for exercises. Not bad haha.
Tml is cousin wedding. looking forward to it. =) cya.

POP LOH

after 17 weeks at tekong, i finally POP at marina bay floating platform yesterday. it was a proud moment for me and my parents. The 27km route march start from SAF Ferry Terminal. it was exciting to march in mainland. the feeling was different with the civilians looking at you. After 17 weeks of military life i was physically and mentally stronger. The toughest activity in the 17 weeks are: FIELD CAMP, 12KM ROUTE MARCH & SITEST. the 12km was the toughest of all route marches because the weather as very hot and it as our first time marching in long four.

Field Camp Reflection:

My field camp experience was memorable and horrible. After the 8km route march to the camp site I was quite tired but we were told to high kneel. My mind was blank at that time. The introduction to high kneel was the start of my nightmare. The building of basha was a bad experience as we rebuild it 3 times to make it stable. I learnt a lot of things, which include field fire orders, danger area and other field commands. I found it hard to remember all those commands and I nearly screw up during the test.

It was my first time eating combat ration. Surprisingly it tastes better than I expected. The worst ones are Bean Stew and Chili Cheese Rice. I nearly vomited while eating those two. I seriously think that the accessories pack is better than the green combat ration.

The Artillery attack was quite an experience. It was shag. Got one time we left a casualty behind and we was asked to leopard crawl down the rocky and muddy slope back to out basha and prone inside. It was raining at that time. That was the worst part of the field camp. My spectacles were covered with mud and my eyes hurt because mud splashed into it during the leopard crawl. I drank sand water from my water bag because the tube opening was covered with mud.

Got one day we received our parent’s letter. I didn’t cry but my eyes turned a little watery. My heart could feel a bit of ache. Thinking of our family during our hardest time was heart touching. We are going through all this is to protect them, it is worth it. I will not forget my feeling at that point of time in my whole life.

The shellscrape experience was fantastic, except the digging part and the insect bites. It was quite scary to sleep in the shellscrape for my first night. There was no light at all and it was hard to communicate with my buddy.

When field camp was over I cannot describe my happiness. It was a bad but memorable experience.

SITEST Reflection

The 3 days 2 nights SITEST was fun. I didn’t have confidence about my performance. My mission failed every time I was the 2IC. I also didn’t have much idea to give but my members was so enthusiastic that once I finished my briefing they start to pour out their ideas and I just kept quiet. What I have to do is just to comment on their ideas and advise which is better. But I don’t think I can make it to command school. Some stations were dangerous with high risk of injury but it was a precious experience.

The worst part of the SITEST is not the test itself but the 12km route march before it. It was very shag and hot. My toes got very gross blisters that I was excused from swimming. SITEST was not as tough as field camp. We didn’t get much shit to do. One of my assessors was a wise man. He taught us life lessons; asked us what we are going to do after national service. He advises us to plan our life or we will regret. He said that we must stand out to succeed in life. I also learnt about teamwork and leadership skills through my detail mates hence my SITEST was a fruitful one.

long time nvr update my blog...my ippt: sit up: 42, shuttle run: 10.2, SBJ: 216, pull up: 10, 2.4km: 10.57. Only managed to get pass because of my SBJ. I passed my SOC timing: 6.47mins. Monday got 16km route march.. Tuesday got recruit evening, Thursday games day...the only physical activity is AGR left. POP on oct 2.
yesterday watched DEVIL. A nice show with good suspense and thrill. 3.5/5 rating. worth to watch. After that went to lavender to eat supper. ordered dim sum, chicken wings, satay, pancakes, wanton mee and fried wantons.
later going to peach garden with family for dim sum buffet at Thomson plaza. booking in at 9pm today.

Some ppl are hard to get along because of personality differences FUCK. We cannot understand other ppl. We can only make things better by looking at the good bricks and overlook the bad ones. This only apply to ppl who are not so close to you. For ppl who are very close to you, u must expose their bad bricks and help them to take out the bad bricks and fill in new good bricks.

mum's prawn dumplings was heavenly; with big fresh prawns and chicken chunks covered with egg dumpling skin. yums yums LOL. booked out yesterday morning, reached home at 10.35am. took cab with clarence. was damn tired because of guard duty...took the 11pm to 1am and 5am to 7am shift. only slept 3 hrs on that day. Learnt how to camouflage. it was quite disgusting but cool. Went to Individual Marksmanship Training and got score 32/32. next week got live range shooting. LOST MY FUCKING SWIMMING TRUNKS AND HAVE TO BUY NEW ONE FOR 14 BUCKS. today went to amk hub watch SALT, play LAN and pool. SALT is a good movie which i liked a lot. The story has many surprises. The female lead Angelina Jolie was a fantastic actor. bought 'four seasons' durian pancakes at amk. later going to watch fireworks near innova primary school for ndp countdown.
I read one of Low Kay Hwa story called 'I Believe'. It was a very touching and sad love story. I found a very useful message for dating couples and those who are married in the story: 'You are like the north pole of a magnet bar and she is also like the north pole of a magnet bar. There is no way for both of you to be close together. There is a force that will always push you both apart, that force is called obstacles like interest differences, communication problem etc. However if you put a metal bar in between, both of your magnets will stick to it. The starting and middle part was fine..but the ending suck like shit. Ong Bak 1 and 2 was better. Went to Old Town White Coffee for dinner. Their Assam Laksa was great, spicy with adequate sourness. Bought milk tasty almonds from Nippon-ya. Saw other platoon mates at ION today. BMT start next week liao. 6km on mon. bought wet wipes for camo cream.

INCEPTION review: A very original and creative storyline. However it is quite confusing and the ending sucks. So i do not like this movie although the effects are fantastic. I want to watch some movies which i do not have the chance to watch: Jack Neo last movie 'Human' next is 'lao niu eat grass' followed by karate kid and lastly ONG BAK 3. I wanna watching upcoming movies: AVATAR: the last airbender, TEKKEN. The harry potter trailer rocks, deathly hallows split into 2 parts: NOV 2010 and JUL 2011. The black sesame ice cream at SWEET BROTHERS jap. restaurant at Iluma was great. The KOI bubble tea queue was damn long.....
I woke up 5.30am this morning, went back to sleep and woke up again at 7.30am...cannot sleep liao....
When we do not have much to do, not much to say and no freedom, we will be excited and happy even at the most little surprise we got. We do not take everything for granted. You have to let it go before you can be happy. Simple life can be very fulfilling and happy, only if you can let go.
Where is she? Seemed that i still have to wait for quite sometime. Wait until the sunset and the ocean dries up....=X

tml is graduation day...finally. mum is not going because she is sick =( dad is working. yesterday played badminton with frens at woodlands sports hall. NTU sent me letter saying i am not successful in the application. lol as expected. i am going to apply again next year smu business, ntu business, ntu maritime studies with business major...ok enuff of studies..now talk about my insights..
i wonder why sometimes i feel irritated and angry without any reason, sometimes feel full of energy and sometimes so lethargic without any reason...aiyo..sometimes i really feel that karma is there lol...sometime when i am very hungry for 1 to 2hrs i feel really bad and irritated..and later i had my dinner omg the feeling was great..i started to think of those people in poor countries where starvation is a common thing. i can feel their suffering....so i made a promise that i will make regular donations to world hunger relief organizations once i have started my permanent career. One more thing; sometimes when i eat meat i imagine how this animal was killed and the suffering this animal has gone through...sigh..but no choice i have to eat meat...the only thing i can do is REDUCE meat consumption...but so far no progress yet LOL..will try lah. okay thats all....cya..

Last friday went to serangoon broadway to rent graduation robe. Bought a red SP tie. Friend drove us there..so good. After that went to Plaza Singapura eat Pastamania. The Marinara Linguine was great. That was last friday. On Sunday which was mother's day, mom bought blackforest cake from HAN's for grandma and had lunch at ASIAN KITCHEN at CityLink Mall. After that we watched watched IP MAN 2 at filmgarde Iluma. The show was good. After that went to father side Ah Ma house bring grandparents for dinner at BOSSES restaurant at VIVOCITY. The BOSSES restaurant serve Chinese and Cantonese dishes. We ordered Seaweed Tofu, Mix Egg Spinach, MaMi Pork ribs, San Bei Chicken, Wasabi/salted egg Prawns and steam fish. The ambiance was great. The restaurant have dark and classy interiors with a touch of traditional and modern chinese design. It has a wonderful seaview and it was facing resort world sentosa hotels. The night lights was beautiful. After that drove grandparents home at Holland Village.
Today went accompany friend go Health Promotion Board collect $300 NTUC voucher prize. He was lucky to win the lucky draw. After that we went to Duxton at Pinnacle HDB flat. It has 50 storeys with sky garden at the 50th floor. But need $5 to enter WTF....However it was quite cool to live at the 49th floor..so windy and it has a nice view.
Next, SMU rejected me...sad =( i think i am going to receive NTU rejection letter soon..LOL..But nvm i will keep on applying for 2 more times..if still cannot i will go SIM study business..but i dun like it because is more expensive and not so good as compared to SMU and NTU.

Last week went to marina bay sands for a walk with family. Some of the shops have not open yet. The casino there has 3 levels, bigger than the one at Resort world sentosa. The lobby of the hotel was unique. The lobby have a chinese restaurant and have several lift lobbies accessing to different levels. The sky garden is located at the 57th floor but have yet to open. After touring around we went to Iluma for dinner at Chef Daniel's restaurant. I like the chocolate fondant with ice cream and coconut Alaskan ice cream..omggggg....
Yesterday went to serangoon broadway to accompany friend to rent graduation robe. I didnt rent because today im going again with poly friends to rent. I made my army spec yesterday. A normal black plastic frame cost $99..sian..after adding the lens and hook is $172. My eyes is getter worse!! now is 700 and 750...last time is only 600 and 650...need to do more eye relaxation exercise.

3 days of event crew at active ageing carnival

On 1st April went to work at suntec for the set-up of active ageing carnival at suntec. There are 9 of us, sitting behind a truck (behind was totally enclosed; no air) It was damn hot!!!we went to several places and collect tables,chairs,flyers,water bottles, magnets and bags of rice. The worst case is the truck is full of rice and water bottles we still have to squeeze in the truck. When the truck made a turn a person fell and everything topple. The moment sucks. On 2nd April went suntec to pack goodie bags for the elderly...that suck too..we cannot finish packing it!!! we need 16,000 goodie bags but we packed until 12am it was only about 5000 bags. On the last day 4th april went back to suntec help to carry all the things into the truck again and transport them to their original place. There was a place around MacPherson area, where the tables and chairs are stored; was very creepy. We reach the place at around 1.45am. The storage room is at 7th storey and the corridor is really CREEPYYYYY........There was a moment when my friend and i(only 2 person)went up to lock the door...after locking i ran to the lift.Seeing me run my fren panicked and ran also...fucking funny. ~.~ However the 3 days were a memorable one.
Yesterday worked as a Merchandiser Assistant at Shop N Save Chong Pang and Giant Sembawang. The auntie treat me Mac Donald's Cinnamon Melt for breakfast and treat me Mee Robus for lunch. She is a nice auntie.
Today is my cousin's wedding. Just now went to his house for tea ceremony. An incident happened...The bed of the bride and groom broke!! As a lot of people (the sisters of the bride sat on the bed..). It must be known that no body is allowed to sit on the bed of the newly wed. Later going to Mount Faber SAFRA CLUB for their wedding dinner...ok...cya

2 days of Merchandiser's Assistant

Last Friday i went for work as Merchandiser's Assistant. I went to Giant at parkway parade. I took bus 966 from woodlands regional interchange straight to parkway. The Merchandiser is a nice guy, having patience with me and teaching me. I accidentally pushed the trolley too fast and it banged on a Senior Merchandiser's foot and the skin came off. She was experiencing much pain but she was not angry with me. I was scared LOL. The 2nd day is yesterday, also at parkway but i reached there at 7am. I wake up 5am yesterday to catch the first bus at 5.45am. zzzz. i am not going to accept any assignments too far away from woodlands. Another incident happened yesterday...while arranging the salad dressing i accidentally broke a glass can of mayonnaise oops. Lucky no need to pay. TML got back result already!! OMG..

Saturday went to Pariss International Buffet at Marina for father's birthday. The price is $39.90 for dinner weekend before tax and GST. After tax and GST is $47/pax. The ambiance is great. The dishes include raw oysters, calms and mussels/ sushi, sashimi/ crabs, asian and malay food (this restaurant is halal)/ western food, shark fin, crocodile meat soup, Hong Kong cuisine, etcc.....there are many more. The price is just right! After eating went to resort world Sentosa for a walk. We went to the 4 hotels in the resort. Furthermore, a lot of people was streaming into the Casino.
On Sunday went for movie at iluma with secondary school friends. Watched 'COP OUT' a M18 show. It was very funny and wild. We ate at Empire State restaurant. My friend ordered a $29.90 giant beef burger FOR HIMSELF. It was cut into 4 large portions. After eating 2 portions he was damn full. LOL...even the waiter asked if he could finish it alone. But in the my other friends help clear the food but i didnt even eat the beef patty. =.=|| I ate mushroom pizza only but it make me quite full. After the movie went to empire state again to eat waffles. My was FREAKING FULL after that. Okay thats all. CYA....

Yesterday played badminton with my fren. I was running like crazy to hit the shuttlecock. My fren was quite good at it as he was from a badminton club during his secondary school. Today went for SPOC interview again. Need to work night shifts o.o and sometimes need to start as early as 6.30am. I dun think it is going to be easy. I hope at least one fren would accompany me for the deployment. HAHA. At least this job will keep me occupied until i get enlisted. After interview went to Chinatown find my mom and eat chicken noodle. It was nice. I am excited about the results coming out on 24th March!!!This saturday dad birthday; going to Pariss Internationl Buffet at Marina Square for dinner to celebrate. Saturday morning going for tennis. Today went to school to play tennis from 11am to 1.45pm. I was sunburnt. My backhand is improving but my forehand has worsen. I keep hitting the ball out. ZZZ. Must have the feeling of brushing the ball. My serve is also getting bad. Seems that i need a lot of practice. Last few days go Bai Nian. Collected Ang Baos. LOLS. Finally, Poly life ENDED. HAHAHAA. Now waiting for NS. I am applying for SMU's Business Management. Their grade profile 2009 stated that minimum GPA admitted into the course is 3.58. LOL dun think i have chance, but i still go for it.
This year was quite exciting for me why? 1st reason: NS!!! 2nd: 2 weddings to attend (April and October)3rd: wonder i will be able to get in SMU 3. More frequent TENNIS!! 4. New beginning as poly ended, i wonder what are the surprises, obstacles and what life lessons to be learnt this year.

Sip management practical and CSW interview test is over. I got B+ for the interview test. Down with flu. sian. Next week exams follow by chinese new year. Hope my flu will be over by then. Must start my revision already. Yesterday went to jurong point after school to buy CNY clothes and i managed to get one. After that eat dinner at subway. Reach home at 9.45pm and ate a japanese bento set !!! my parents and my brothers combined their leftovers for me LOL. I was damn full to the max that i nearly vomited. But the bento was nice. i took napfa test today and i failed 3 stations: 2.4km (13.30mins), Standing board jump(201) and pull up (zero). LOL it is ok, but will go to NS 2 months earlier. I do not wish to retake again ._.||
tmr no school. Thurs need to do FYP,law project and after that got tennis(hope it dont rain). My ship management module got 68% (sad) and practical got 88%. Like that how to go SMU ??????????? Will try again!! Believe there will be miracles if we worked for it.

2 hours before 2010 i was at vivo city waiting for the countdown with my fren. it was damn squeezy. There was a mediacorp channel 8 countdown concert at the roof of vivo city. But we could not see the stage as the tickets was sold out. We could only see a big screen at the back of the stage. We sat on the ground, watching the concert. Even though it was only a screen, but there was a huge crowd watching. There was fireworks coming from sentosa siloso beach. Luckily vivo was near to sentosa haha. Reached home at 1.45am.
Today aunt came to visit as she just came back from Australia. They went to Gold Coast and Melbourne for 3 weeks. They visited my another aunt who is staying there. She bought us chocolates and stuffs.
OKAY, school reopens next week. final 6 weeks countdown to the end!!

This few days have been doing FYP powerpoint slides. Yesterday went to suntec city eat Astons with friends. I ordered double chicken up; where you can choose 2 different flavor of the chicken chops. I choose Hickory and black pepper chicken chops. Their mushroom soup was the best i have ever tried because it seemed that the mushrooms was more than the thick soup. It was very fulfilling. I paid $2.80 for it with 2 garlic breads. After eating we watched Sherlock Holmes. It was a very creative story, with many uncertainties and mystery. Sherlock Holmes was a cunning, quick-witted, sharp and observant character. He can spot many little small details which is extremely useful to solve a case. So i recommend that this movie can be watched!! great! After watching went to Billy Bombers and eat American Brownie. Quite nice. Cathay tickets can be used to exchanged for free desserts at Billy Bombers.

Yesterday went to school to do FYP. Now starting on powerpoint slides. After FYP went to Plaza Singapura for movie. We wanna watch AVATAR but it is full. But nevermind i have watched it before already. LOLx. We went to G2000 to look for formal wear for FYP presentation. But i need not buy as i already have. Only lacking of a tie. Lucky for us Jay Chou and Lin Chi Ling came to Plaza Sing. to advertise for their new movie; the title is something to do with treasure.(not sure about the full name). Jay Chou grown fatter LOL. We tried to take photos of them but it was FUCKING squeezy, and i am serious. I repeat IT IS FUCKING SQUEEZY. So squeezy until i can touch the 'BALLS' of other people and the people keep pushing their chests against me. XD. It is also damn stuffy until my whole forehead was wet. After squeezing my friend treated me pizza hut for my birthday and bought me a simpsons pink t-shirt. LOL quite cute. After that went to parklane for pool. That is all.

It has been around 2 months since i updated. I have attended tennis lessons but due to rain i missed 3 lessons!! So annoying.
Final year project is going to be completed soon, left with law and chartering project. Haha, polytechnic life is going to end in less than 2months time. National Service is next!!
Last few days went to Orchard Central, ION, Vivocity with family. The 'No Signboard' Seafood restuarant was great. We ate 2 Sri Lankan crabs; one with white pepper and the other with chilli. So niceeeee. The huge christmas tree was spectacular at Vivocity, especially when it was lighted at night. After that father drove us around orchard to see christmas lights.
Earlier last week went to Suntec City to celebrate fren's birthday at Astons Restuarant. The price was cheap as compared to other western restuarants.
Following tuesday going to buy tie for FYP presentation at Plaza Singapura and watch movie AVATAR. BUT, i going to watch it this saturday 1st with another group of fren. So totaling 2 times and maybe 3rd time with family.haha.

Last week was boring, lessons and FYP. Time was passing slowly...Yesterday the ship chartering lecturer was stunning. He was a ship broker that had his own company. His lectures enable me to think. He was good in his communication and way of teaching, telling us about his life experiences, which will be useful to us.

I joined tennis elective even though it was full. The person in charge is easy-going. haha. Need to buy racket soon as it is starting on following thurs.
On Nov 21 going to Woodgrove Secondary school anniversary dinner. My fren preparing 1st dish, LOL...Ticket price is 68 but form teacher help to subsidize until 20 dollars.

Today no law class, so class end at 12pm. After that do FYP and play basketball. Reach home at 7.30pm. Mother cook fried mee sua (nice) and mango fruits ice blended dessert (similar to Asian Kitchen dessert). That is about today.

I wanna express my views on life. Life is short. Make it fun and unforgettable. I am the type of person who like simple and peaceful life so the favorite place on earth is my home. However i like to travel. I like to lead a live of peace, with a glimpse of frequent excitements and able to travel and see the world. HAHA. Sound strange??? As most people like extravagant life and their daily schedule fully packed of activity and want an exciting night life. Too bad im not that type. LOL. Okay. School opens on Monday. I didn't feel sad or happy. Just neutral, as after this semester i will be graduating. After mid Feb 2010 i will be free. Final Year Project will end soon, in early Jan 2010. This will be my motivating factor. As i really hope i dun have to do project anymore.

Today went to Bedok and go NTUC with my grandma. The NTUC there was freaking crowded, like all the food supplies will be cut off. I eat the famous HONG NI Nasi Lemak there, which i queued for 20 mins. After eating my mother still Ta Bao 25 otahs back home.

Last thursday went to ECP for cycling with poly friends. Cycled from ECP to Changi beach, which took 3hrs for both trips. I was sunburnt =) lol. But it was fun.

Last week was completely exciting and touching. Last Tuesday i went to my father's company dinner at Hilton Singapore. It was their 24th anniversary. The dinner was themed 'Ge Tai'. Where famous celebrity Liu Ling Ling and her sister came to perform. We have a close view of her as our table is just beside the stage. The funny thing is that Liu Ling Ling perform an Indian dance and even sang an Indian song. We saw 3 layers of fats on her tummy. LOL. Very entertaining. The dishes was great too.
Next, last Saturday i went to my friend's house to celebrate Hari Raya. Her mum was a great cook. We played WII at her house and i finally lost in Boxing game. I was a record holder previously!! After that we went to Beauty world for lan gaming and had prata and naan for dinner.
Finally yesterday was my cousin's wedding at The Legends @ Fort Canning Park. In the morning we went to my aunt house for the traditional tea ceremony. We must hide in the rooms when the bride and groom arrive. I dunno why but they say it is a tradition. When we heard the Mercedes's horn, we know the bride and groom have arrived. It was the first time i witness the tea ceremony. Then at night we went to Fort Canning Park for the banquet. They was a sweet couple. LOL. Wonder when will be my turn. Anyway my other cousin is also getting married next year at April.
That is all the fun last week. School is opening next week and im happy because this is the freaking last semester i going to endure. After grad im going to army and after that i hope i can be accepted into SMU, BM.

This is my second entry in year 2009. Exams are over, now having holidays. Going out with friends and family, play CS, read self imporvement books, training pull-up and 2.4km are my days now. I played a game called LEFT4DEAD, a great game: human VS zombie by steam. Strongly recommended! Next, i have read a book by Dale Carnegie about human relations, quite a good book. I have finally played tennis last week. It was absolutely fantastic, finally found my fav. sport other than swimming. Hoping to play again with my German class friends. Next, i am going overseas in mid march to china with my mom, it is going to be cold i think about 15 degrees max. Okay, done for the update.

The story of a tiny frog

The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants.

The race began...

Honestly, no one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

"Oh, WAY too difficult!"
"They will NEVER make it to the top."

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

APL England

Yesterday got port and ship visit. It was fun and a very good experience. We are onboard ''APL England''. A ship of my company. It is about 5600 TEUs big, 289metres in lenght and 58metres high. It was raining heavily that time, climbing up the slippery stairs and oily handrails to board the ship was a tough job. We visit the bridge, where cadets and captain navigate the ship. The engine room was really HOT!! as if my body on fire..Those engines are about 3 storey high.
Before i board the ship wewent to PSA building for briefing and scenery enjoying session. I took some pictures in the ship and on the 40th floor of PSA building.

Ferris Wheel

Last weekend went onboard ferris wheel with my family and uncle. Before that we had dinner at Seafood Paradise. The food there is very xpensive, merely 6 dishes came out 450 bucks. Furthermore the ferris wheel is not cheap either, eight of us for 220 bucks. It was night time when we board the wheel. We can see beautiful city lights and Malaysia. It was only 25mins. However it was a good experience.

After that we went to ministry of sound at clark quay.Free admission to all poly students..my first time going to such places...Feeling high there...drink Vodka Coke..nice drink....The music there rock a lot.Feels like my heart going to explode...their dance floor is rotating while we dance..quite a good experience.

Until today, i spent 2 months at NOL. It was a good experience for me to see the working life of the people. It was tough, but friendly. The people there are patient and friendly towards me. I am happy to have such kind collegues..My supervisior too , not bad lah but very strict and VERY RESULT ORIENTATED..he as the Vice President of APL Shipping Of Operations Asia Middle East, always want me to produce results....he take as a real permenent staff. I deal with container delinquency, container sales , ship's ETA/ETD , stow measurement and dangerous cargoes.
Last month we have a department meeting...we went bowling at Safra Mount Faber..hha.

It is is holidays now! just on that day i had my last exam paper, after that paper i and about 12 of my poly frenz go steamboating at bugis. We had a great time. The soup base was 'tom yam'. It was extremely HOT. Just one small slip of the soup can make u choke like hell. We add chicken soup in our tom yam soup to neutralise it. My fren xing hua, a commedian and hyperactive person, did the 'Jonathan-scene acting' & 'Superb egg throwing skill acting' scenes. The jonathan-scene acting is where my poly fren jonathan did a 'GAY' action (not on purpose but we caught him doing the action). My other fren Xing Hua go and act out the acting exactly wat jonathan did. It was so funny. The superb egg throwing is opening egg into the steamboat in one hand. It was also acted by xing hua. hi long time no update...becos i lazy..but it will cre8 memories so i decided to write..
In School:
School was fun, weeks ago did jetty jump..so FUN.I jumped 3m high from the jetty and swimed to the life boat.Getting on the life boat was tough job. it took me 4mins to climb up. Last 2 days i get a chance to operate a speed boat in open sea.it was cool..the wind brushing my face and so on...i just got back my term exam results..not bad..but not good enuff for IT module.

It have been 2 months since i write in my blog...Now holidays 2 more weeks to go school open. During my holidays got some events...Lets talk about it. I worked for 9 days in bossini and earned around $280++ cool..but this is my first part time job which turned out to be a failure. I got clashes with my supervisior. She is around 30+...She said that i am not suitable for this job(sales assistant). She stared at me when i do things, picked on me on very little things. She hinted me to QUIT. She said 'i have no right to ask u quit...' Den WHY SHE SAY THIS SENTENCE?? It is obvious she want me to quit..She did not tell me after serving customers do not walk away..must stand around the customer..BUT SHE DID NOT TELL ME. She just told me 'dun walk around' i listened to her..but it is still no use..So i just quit haha. I UNDERSTAND THAT IN WORKING LIFE WE MUST LOOK AT THE BOSS'S FACE and i remind myself to be more alert and to learn things faster and most importantly to adapt to the harsh working life . TALK ABOUT OTHER THINGS..i WANTED TO buy shoes and other stuffs with my money..I will get my money either tml or 15th sep. Last week i got went to Damen Shipyard to take part in an evacuation trial. I got $30 just like that! We slide down from a ferry to a life raft..got some scratches on my ankle and arms...but i like the experience..Ok see ya next time!

Yesterday i go eat CHL Seafood steamboat with my parents. The meat is so salty..satay must queue..prawns one bowl only cannot take more..Eh hello! this is buffet not al-carte!! I watched spiderman 3 with my family. The show is so nice..the story goes like this- Everybody loves spiderman...his pictures were in magazines and newspapers..Harry,his best friend came to revenge as he know that spiderman killed his father but in the end Harry found out that spiderman did not actually killed his father so he helped spiderman defeat venom and sandman. Venom is a typical reporter that accidentally let the poison run into his body. Sandman always rob the bank as he want to get money to cure his duaghter's illness. He is a nice guy..I think so. Must watch!!!! I give 4.5 stars.

My love for the ships and the sea is forever...but i dont know what jobs should i do in the maritime industry...The job scope is too wide for me to choose....They include freight forwarding executive,marine operations executive,shipping executive etc...This 3 is what i am interested in but dunno which one i like most..So fustrating...I need to know which job i want to do before i can really put my heart and soul in the studies. Today doing prep maths things....so boring but no choice. Finally get 5/5 for trigonometry(correct spelling?) so happy haha. Today i played maple. Got new patch abt fishing but need to buy the cash card to fish!! zzzzz. I also played cs-cz..i noob in playing but considered not bad already. Ahh school is going to start real soon next week. These few days my house have been invaded by IFI (indentified flying insects). My legs and arms have at least 8 bites....Feel like squashing them....but very hard..they fly as swift as rockets....
